‘The Boxtrolls’ tells the tale of a young boy’s adventure with the Boxtrolls, a group of adorable, underground-dwelling monsters.
Inhabiting caves below the streets and combing through people’s rubbish, the kind and quirky Boxtrolls are misunderstood by humans, with the exception of Eggs – an orphan boy they have raised as their own.
When the lovable monsters find themselves under threat from an exterminator, Eggs must try to save his adoptive family.
‘The Boxtrolls’ is based on Alan Snow’s book ‘Here Be Monsters!’ and is produced by Laika, the animation studio behind ‘Coraline’ and ‘ParaNorman’.
